Share Codex's HTML as a link with comments

Turn the HTML Codex writes into a private page that opens on any screen. Collect comments on the exact spot, and Codex fixes it on the same link.

Codex already writes good HTML: PR reviews, incident write-ups, test reports and decks built from data. The hard part is what happens next. A file on your laptop doesn't open properly on a phone, and feedback ends up in a chat thread that Codex never sees.

tossithere fixes that. Codex runs one command, and the HTML is live at a private link that opens anywhere. People comment on the exact element or sentence they mean, and Codex reads every comment, fixes the page and publishes v2 on the same link.

Set it up

You do this once, in the terminal, the Codex app or your editor.

  1. Install the CLI and sign in:
npm install -g tossithere
toss login
  1. Install the tossithere skill. Ask Codex:

Install the tossithere skill from https://tossithere.com/skill.md and use it whenever you make HTML for me.

Prefer to keep it in the repository? Copy the instructions from this page instead. Paste the instructions into AGENTS.md at the root of your repository, or into ~/.codex/AGENTS.md to have them everywhere. Codex reads both before it starts a task.

That's it. Codex now knows how to publish, share, read comments and push new versions.

Publish your first page

Ask Codex for something you'd normally get as a wall of text:

Review PR #482 and publish the review as a page I can share with the team.

Codex writes the HTML and publishes it:

toss docs:push pr-482-review.html --json
# -> https://tossithere.com/d/pr-482-review-8fa2

The page is private to you. Open it on your laptop or your phone.

Share it and collect comments

When someone else should see it, ask Codex to share it, or publish straight into a team workspace:

toss docs:share <docId> --visibility public --allow comment
toss docs:push pr-482-review.html --team <slug>

Reading needs no account. Commenting takes a Google sign-in, so every comment has a name on it. Reviewers click any element or highlight any text and type.

Let Codex fix it

Tell Codex: "Read the comments and fix the page." It runs:

toss comments:list <docId> --unresolved --json
toss docs:push pr-482-review.html --id <docId> --note "what changed"

Every comment arrives with the exact markup it points at, so Codex edits the right line instead of guessing. The new version goes to the same link, and older versions stay readable with their own comments.

Tips for Codex

  • Codex is good at turning a CSV or a query result into a chart-heavy page. Ask for the page, not a summary in the chat.
  • For long-running tasks, ask Codex to publish when it's done. You get a link you can open on your phone instead of waiting at your desk.
  • Because AGENTS.md is shared by many agents, the same instructions also work in other tools your team uses on that repository.

Questions about Codex

Does tossithere work with Codex?

Yes. tossithere is a command-line tool, and Codex can run it like any other command. There's no plugin or extension to install.

Does it work with Codex in the cloud as well as the CLI?

It works anywhere Codex can run shell commands and reach the internet. In a sandbox without network access, the push will fail, so publish from a local session or allow tossithere.com.

Can Codex publish into a team workspace?

Yes. toss teams:list shows your teams, and toss docs:push report.html --team <slug> publishes straight into one, so everyone in it can open and comment.

Is it free?

Viewing and commenting are free on every plan. Publishing is free for up to 10 documents. Pro is $10 a month for unlimited documents, and Team is $39 a month flat for a shared workspace.

Works with the rest of your agents, too.

Every page lands in the same place, with the same links, sharing and comments, whichever agent made it.
